Appassionata student Claire Liu plays Chopin Waltz in A minor
Access performance: HERE Claire is the youngest member of the Appassionata program and is also one of this season’s soloists. Claire will be performing with the TOPHIL in the Opus 64 concerts in March 22nd and 24th.

The Appassionata program has started and we have many great events planned. Our students will participate in recitals, masterclasses, share their talent at retirement homes and perform with the Thousand Oaks Philharmonic!

Violin Concerto in A minor, BWV 1041, I. Allegro Moderato
The first movement of Bach’s Violin Concerto in A minor is a lively and energetic piece that showcases the technical abilities of the solo violinist. The movement is written in the traditional fast-slow-fast form of the concerto, with the solo violin playing against the background of the string orchestra and continuo. The piece is written in A minor, and the melody is characterized by its energetic rhythms and lively phrasing.
